Author Guidelines

A peer-reviewed, open-access, academic e-publication

ISSN: 2536-4731

JFLET is intended primarily for emerging scholars and graduate students who seek for a place to publish their first work(s). JFLET would also accept submissions from undergraduate students of all disciplines related to education, foreign language education, ICT, and educational material development. The journal welcomes submissions of research papers, review papers, book reviews, and educational materials.

Starting from volume 3 issue 1, JFLET will publish papers of well-established researchers and scholars in the special contribution section of each issue.

Each of the submitted works is to be subjected to a blind peer review process conducted by two referees who are specialists in the field. Within the period of four weeks after submission, authors will receive acceptance notification, rejection notification or information on the necessary changes that need to be applied to their contribution before publication.

The manuscripts must conform to the specifications of Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (sixth edition).

The review process usually takes no longer than 4 weeks, and concentrates on the following:

1. The structure of the study

2. The content of the study

3. The language of the study

The submitted works are evaluated on a scale of 1 to 10, and an average of 7 would be usually regarded as satisfactory.

JFLET uses the Turnitin and iThenticate plagiarism-prevention services.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is 1,5-spaced; uses Book Antiqua 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

Each paper must contain an abstract of 100-300 words, and up to 5 keywords.

Please also check the published papers in the Archives while preparing your manuscript.

  5. The manuscripts must conform to the specifications of Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (sixth edition). Basic Information about the style can be found at:

    https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/
